Aqua Splash Tangle-Teezer...unique hair brushes.

I was lucky enough to be given one of these to trial. I already have the Feline compact version of the Tangle-Teezer, but the Aqua Splash is to be used around and in water.

I tried my Black Pearl Aqua Splash Tangle-Teezer out in the shower, using it to brush the conditioner through my hair. I found it works like a hot knife through butter, such a wonderful feeling and my hair was so smooth. I did find the handle a little awkward, when using with conditioner, but otherwise it was fine. I was surprised to see it was hollow, but no water stays in the brush and it makes a stand and the water runs off easily and dries quickly.

I have very fine hair, which tangles mercifully after washing. Using the Aqua Splash, it just combed through my hair, without damage through my hair. As my hair dried, I brushed it every so often, while watching TV and found I didn't need to straighten my hair, and it was beautifully smooth, shiny and silky. From now on, this brush is my go to brush for wet hair every time.

When your hair is wet, we have always been told not to brush it, as when wet hair is wet, it is weakened and subject to stretching and breakage. However the Aqua Splash brush is so gentle and soft, you have no worries. If you have very thick hair, the Aqua Splash brush with go through several layers of hair and after a few strokes, brush to the roots very gently with no damage. Brilliant for children's hair, no more complaints of pulling hair as it is brushed.

The Aqua Splash Tangle-Teezer is the first thing you need to put in your beach bag (after sun screen, of course). Remember how tangled beach hair is? Well it is nothing for the Aqua Splash brush.

http://phoenixnationale.com.au/ this is the website where you can purchase online or alternatively there is a Salon locator where you can buy one locally. They are a salon only purchase.

Aqua Splash is available in four water borne colours: Pink Shrimp, Blue Lagoon, Green Marine and Black Pearl.

This is Tangle Teezer's description of this beautiful brush: "Tangle Teezer AQUA SPLASH is the latest innovative detangling brush which will effortlessly banish tangles and knots from wet hair whilst distributing shampoo and conditioner and even masques evenly throughout hair.

Featuring patented, uniquely designed teeth which flex and flick as they glide through the hair, Tangle Teezer AQUA SPLASH eliminates tangles and knots on contact and minimises breakage, damage and splitting often caused by tugging and pulling on the hair shaft.

Perfect for all hair types, Tangle Teezer AQUA SPLASH features an exclusive non-slip design and unique ‘drying feet’ for hygienic, drip-dry benefits. The hollow structure allows water to cascade through from the hair for free-flowing detangling in the shower."

I love my brush, as does my whole family now, so it will be permanently in the bathroom...maybe I should buy another one to live in my beach bag for when we go skiing, would hate to forget and leave it at home. I already have the compact feline Tangle-Teezer in my bedroom permanently. I am hooked. Thanks Tangle-Teezer for bringing this beautiful brush into Australia.

Adrenal Insufficiency...secondary

I have been diagnosed with this condition, as my pituitary doesn't work, called empty sella syndrome and Pan Hypo Pituitarism.

So far hospitalised only once with seizures, had seven in one morning, ambulance couldn't get me out, as two story and they had to carry me down and I kept having seizures.

Now every time I catch something...a simple cold, flu or whatever, I go through this again. So I have cortisone to take when unwell, but GP's don't know enough, actually think I now know more, then they deride me for looking up 'Dr Google' as he called it.

Today I was at the end of week and half flu and my mother wanted me to take her to Aldi for specials. My husband later insisted in driving and thank God, he did. In the shop a cold clammy sweat came over me and I could feel like I was going out to it. He managed to get me to the car to at least sit, which was what I needed. It was funny, the day was so bright, like an overexposed photo.

So got home, took a big dose of cortisone and now feel better, although not strong at all. I am scared to go out, as I never know when this is going to happen. I hate it. Have been different health wise all my life and just tired of it. Took 35 years to diagnose the beginning of the condition.

Seen specialist now. On cortisone for life now causing weight gain etc. feel better in myself, but now with weight gain. Vicious circle.

Anyway, thank you for listening to my story...

Tangle-Teezer...range of hair brushes...5******

This is the top selling British brush. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you are missing out on.

It brushes your hair, without tangles and is especially good for wet hair. You know how you have always been told to NEVER brush wet hair? Well you can now with the Tangle-Teezee. Tis is the best and only brush that I will now use. The brush also doesn't get tangled up with your hair, Because it isn't pulling any out! That is the best news for my fine, knotty hair.

They are not easy to find and are not available in shops just anywhere, but the web site has stocked to, which are usually only hairdressers, but you will find one. I is worth it, go searching on http://www.tangle-teezer.com.au/gallery/Compact/tangle-teezer-compact-styler-feline-groovy/124597 to find a stockist near you.

The above link is to the brush I have, it is a compact called 'feline' I think and has changed my air routine for ever.

There is a new one out, that I am yet to try, but you take it into the shower with you, it is bigger than the one I have and excellent to take to any water activity you do. Or anytime really. This one is called aqua splash and the one pictured is colour Blue Lagoon and it comes in four very pretty colours.

I am on the search now for a Shaun the Sheep compact brush, can't wait to fine it in a local hairdresser soon.

By the way, if you have a child, there is a perfect one for them. Especially little girls with long hair, are they always crying she you brush knots out? I will be no more if you buy them their very own special Tangle-Teezer brush. I will post a photo. They will love it, because it is their very own and can keep their hair bands inside.

I would give the Tangle-Teezer 5 out of 5; or more if I could. Thanks Tangle Teezer for a solution to my hair problem...forever.

Garnier...Ultra Lift

I was fortunate enough to receive this lovely product from Garnier to try.

I loved it. It is a light and creamy. I did wonder why the jar was being used up so quickly...until I saw my husband dipping a big finger into the jar for his daily face moisturise. I must say, he is looking pretty good for it.

I have dry, mature skin, so would need the night time version to keep my skin properly moisturised. This cream is very light and easily applied and sinks in to the face skin nicely. Make up applies perfectly over it.

We were to have a ruler to determine if wrinkles were lifted. Seeing my printer was having problems, I just took a photo of my eye area.

I do feel, after a month of using this beautiful Ultra Lift Cream, that my eye wrinkle area is brighter and fresher, even though I had a stint in hospital during this time, our family car written off and quite a few worries, so I am surprised how good I still looked after all of that.

It feels beautiful on, so easy to apply and I always rub the remnants on my hands, so they are looking better also.

I am now looking forward to trying the Garnier Ultra Lift night cream.

VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler

This is my 'can't do without' hair tool. I never go anywhere without it. I have very fine hair and have tried all manner of hair products and stylers etc, finally finding this is the best that suits my hair.

The spinner brush shines my hair beautifully, as normally fine limp hair is not shiny. I use it by over styling at the crown with a little spray of root lift and get great lift off my head. Then layers of hair down the sides and ends. Until I have beautifully culled under hair with shine.

Can't be without my VS Sassoon BIG HAIR STYLER.

Great for all hair types I believe.

My husband has grey hair, thinning a little and he brushes his hair with my VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler and it gives him a beautiful hair style with body. Have to wait in line to use it in my household.

Thank you VS Sassoon.

Bellini Intelli Kitchen Master...mark II

I have received my new machine from GSM, the Australian distributors for the above machine.

I did get a bit of a shock today and thought I had a broken machine. I was twirling around the temperature dial and it went to 100 degrees, then to 'St'. Oh no, not broken already!!

Raced off to check the booklet and this is what they have done to stop the burning. After 100 degrees, it goes to 'St' for steaming, not up to 130 degrees as previously these machines were set.

Will this still cook hot enough? I burnt custard at 80 degrees, so how will this help? Are all temperatures actually lower than they say on dial?

I don't know. Do let me know if you have the mark II Bellini Kitchen Master, please let me know.

What is the maximum temp for the Maxi superchef thermofood pro? It and the Bellini look alike, so what have they done to the Maxi to stop burning? Let me know please.

Thanks...

Replacement Bellini Intelli Kitchen Machine

Woohoo!!!! The replacement Bellini Kitchen Machine has arrived. Can't wait to try it out.

I must comment on GSM in South Australia for being such a super company when it comes to
Customer service. They always reply and answer communication, phone back etc, WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL. Not many like that these days.

Now no time to try it out for a bit, as my husband's car was written off in an accident on my birthday last week and we have to be out trying to buy a replacement car with the merger dollars RACQ value our vehicle at.

Good to have two blades, guess one is to take the place of reverse blade. The second blade is for stirring, not chopping.

Thanks GSM for keeping to your word.

Tree Lopers

Today a great big Samoan guy came to my door, offering to cut down a straggly tree down from our front yard. After intense bargaining, I got the price down to $550, thinking this was a bargain and he offering to allow me to pay it off.

After a little less than an hour, they finished, with a tip truck loaded full with my tree and a poisoned 10cm high trunk left behind. Giving him the part payment we had agreed upon, he said I will be back tomorrow for the remainder of payment, as we are going on holidays next week. Bit of a shock to me, however as it will be my husband's pay day tomorrow, I agreed.
Wonder what would have happened if I had not the ability to pay the rest then?

At least the front yard looks much tidier, but I have been worrying where all the lorikeets will go, as they loved the flowers of our Africian Tulip Tree?
Will miss the birds songs as they used to feed in our tree.....probably be much hotter in Summer now, without the shade of that orange flowered tree......

Bellini Kitchen Master Update

After writing again to GSM, the company making these brilliant machines, I was informed that replacement machines will be
Available late July/early August. Also they will be Back in store during August.

Such good news! I love GSM and how quickly they always respond to emails. I am looking forward to my replacement machine, so I can also make jams, custards etc, which currently burn on the bottom in two brown circles.

I am loving my machine, using it most days, a number of times. I find that I am cooking way more often.

So looking forward to a new improved Machine and recipe book.

I have several friends wanting one, so look out Target, we are waiting for the restocking.

Dove Nourishing Oil care

I bought this product yesterday. Dove's advertising says it is as good as Moroccan Oil. Now I have never used Moroccan Oil to compare, but I very much like this oil.

It is used in the ends of hair, not roots, on dry or wet hair. I doesn't feel oily and you can apply it and go off to work or wherever and this oil is working on your hair to make it feel shiny and moisturised and silky.

I have very fine hair and thought it would weight it down, but no, light and you are not aware the oil is in your hair. I woke up this morning and all my crispy hair ends were soft and flexible.

This Dove product is now a permanent fixture in my beauty regime and you should try it, if your hair needs a bit of shine and protection. Great before sun too.

Love Dove's Nourishing Oil Care!

Bellini Kitchen Machine (Master)...continuing Target

Today I received an email from Target Australia regarding my layby of the Bellini Kitchen Machine...Not happy Jan!

They say it has been cancelled and I should go and receive a refund for my deposit. But...I WANT THE MACHINE!!!!

This is the Target email:

Thank you for your email.

We regretfully had to remove the Bellini kitchen machine from your lay-by as they are banned from sale due to a copyright issue. You will receive a letter shortly if you haven't already.

Unfortunately they have been removed until further notice, therefore we are unable to take details if they come in again.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards,

They won't even put me on a waiting list for any future possibility of this machine being on sale again. They are involved in legal issues, although I cannot find anything official in this online.

Anyway, my name is down with GSM who makes the Bellini, in case they replace with an updated Model, I can get one for Mum's machine that I am still using.

I am hoping very much that Target does again have the Bellini Intelli Kitchen Machine in stock, as I would definitely buy another one and certainly recommend my friends to buy one as well.

Thin Lizzy Bra...free?

Today I received two 'free' Thin Lizzy Bras, along with my Instyler. I am sure unpaid for them and they were not really free. I had phoned earlier about the Instyler and the cost was $150
Minus Thin Lizzy, but now $30 added
With FREE Thin Lizzy.
Are they comfortable? Yes, very comfortable. But I am not big breasted and find they just push me flat with a big gap in the cleavage...what cleavage? My husband says a girl at his work is wearing them and is very big breasted and just looks big and smashed across her chest area. Not a good look either. But if you are moderate breast size, I could well imagine they would be good for you.

On top of that, who wants to see your bra as part of your fashion? Maybe ok for the gym, but otherwise, not a good look, especially with a strappy dress...everyone would know the brand of your bra!!

No, I will take a miss in this bra!

Instyler...as seen on TV (two for one) supposedly

My Instyler arrived today, I found out it must be used on clean hair and wondered what I do with my hair on in between days. So I washed my hair, dried it and had a go. It certainly isn't as easy as on TV, drags through hair, not simply slides like TV does. I have very fine, thin hair, so used it on the lowest temperature, as per instructions. I discovered I needed to next heat
To actually do anything. It really didn't give me a lift at the crown of my shoulder length hair, but was slightly fuller all over. I did have to use a little spray gel to get any height there. Yet on TV, big height!!!

I guess I will keep experimenting and will find the right and best way to use the Instyler with my hair.

Shame you have to buy two ($180) and get two free Thin Lizzy bras, all of which I didn't want. Luckily my mother bought one from me. I wonder how she will get on, as she is not flexible with such things.

Will let you know as I further experiment with my new Instyler.

Bellini...the containing saga

Target phoned my husband today and told him to tell me to come in and get my layby refund for the Bellini Intelli Kitchen Machine. I was certainly not happy, my husband tried to ring them back, but they phoned from a blocked number unfortunately. No comment about a waiting list to get a replacement when and if they come out again.

Not a happy camper...

Bellini Soup

Made a big batch of vegetable soup in the Bellini Kitchen Machine, worked excellently, no burning (no milk) and didn't even chop the vegetables to nothing while cooking. Chopped them up a bit after cooking. All good.

My family love it, so I am happy, didn't have to stir, just come back to a cooked jar of soup. Thank you Bellini.

The Bellini Intelli Kitchen Machine!!!!

So how are you getting on with your Bellini? I was so disappointed to
See that Target have withdrawn future stock from store. Also I had
One in layby (as I am using my Mother's Bellini), and I believe it has been removed, although I have not heard from Target personally about my layby.

I have phones GSM who made the Bellini and they are very good with their communication. They sent me another, much reduced, recipe book and put my name on their list to have my mother's machine replaced when they fix the heating issue.
I did try to make custard and had terribly burnt bottom of the jar. Luckily my husband is great at cleaning burnt off saucepans! (experienced).

So I have now emailed Target about my layby, to hopefully have my name put down for a future machine.

Target on Facebook say they have a legal problem (copyright maybe) and have idea if ever any machine is back in their stores, which is different from GSM. They say they should have altered the software of these machines by April/May.

Anyway, looking forward to further info about my Bellini, I love it!

Apple...The New Ipad

Do you already have an iPad? If so, do you think it is worth replacing it with the latest version?

I have iPad 2 and went and had a play with the new IPad. It was so clear with retina display being doubled and the camera being increased to 5mp. I took a photo on store and it was so clear, almost clearer than the real thing. Any photos on it of outdoors, you could coins the spears of grass or feathers in a bird, it was so clear.

I would love one, but don't think it is worth getting replacing mine, it is great, but there are not that many individual improvements in the new IPad.

On the weekend I was asked if an iPad would be good for their travels, so they could Load photos as they go. As great as I think an iPad is, loading photos from a camera on the run is not one of It's Features. She would be better purchasing a laptop or a 10inch tablet. These work on Windows and as long as sufficient memory, would be good for traveling and uploading photos.

Whatever you decide, either you are a windows fan or Apple. I still have Windows Computer, but Apple in everything else and am fiercely loyal
Apple iPhones/iPads.

Orly Nail Polish...Priceline

Today I discovered Priceline had Orly Nail Polishes on sale for $4.95.

These are amazing polishes, and I have been eying them off, on the website for some time.

I have been wanting the base coat bonder, which puts a Ruberised coating on the nail, as a preparation to a manicure.

I bought four lovely colours and tried them out as soon as I got home. Unfortunately Priceline only have the coloured polishes, not the base/top coats, so I used another brand I already had.

The polished had an amazing self leveling perfect sheen. But as the day worn on, I found a fabric print etc on my nails, so the polish didn't seem to dry off properly.

So, tomorrow I will try again, I guess they will be perfect when I get the full range of Orly products to complete a manicure.

By the way, Priceline still have these
Polishes in great colours, so go and check them out.

Vegan Choc Chip Cookies

Cookies still warm, already several taken and eaten by family. Made in the Bellini Intelli Kitchen Machine.
The mix was very sticky, so glad it was stirred in my Berlinni. Felt like rolling peanut butter, but the next batch was better, as they had dried off somewhat.
Only 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/3 maple syrup for sweetness.
If you want the recipe, send me a message and I will forward it.

What, what, what...selling Intelli on eBay??

Would you believe someone is selling the Bellini Intelli Kitchen Machine on eBay? Starting bid is $269 or buy it now $430! What a con. I guess if people are desperate enough...! Crazy!!!!

Cooking with Bella...what my Mother called it...

I read that some have Risotto burnt in the Bellini. I am yet to try that. Made some pasta sauce this morning and all sorts of food, love doing the brown rice and steamed vegetables. 25 minutes to cook the brown rice in the basket. I have been making raspberry sorbets, not sure the sugar goes to icing sugar, yet to perfect that. Seem to be using it all the time. This is my Mum's machine, because mine is on layby still. Thinking she is not able to covert recipes in her mind, old style cook. Cooked creamed rice and it came out so creamy. I would use the butterfly for risotto i think. Is slightly annoying that when the cook function is on, top speed is 3. Some Thermomix recipes use a higher speed, but it hasn't been a problem. Reverse would be good, but not a huge deal.
I am absolutely loving that it cleans itself with a bit of water. Blades come out easily, there is a lever that makes it drop, right out...on my foot as a matter fact, the first time.
These date and Nut balls I made with dates, dried figs, prunes, almonds, cashews, walnuts, cardamom, cinnamon, and cocoa with maple syrup to get right consistency. Roll in coconut. Yum and super healthy! Enjoy...

Great machine..Bellini Intelli Kitchen Machine

Having this machine in my kitchen encourages me to cook more. I am as happy as if I had a Thermomix. This far, I no longer need a Thermomix.

Cooked oat porridge this morning and it was the best I had made, beautiful and creamy.

Son what shall I make next...?

Berllini Intelli Kitchen Machine

I have been saving up for a Thermomix for quite some time. But it always seems so far away. Then I loaned my Thermomix money to my son to buy a boat, so the gap widened. Then to see on a thermomix forum about this new machine coming out that was a Target only brand. So I decided a had to have one, even if only until I could get the 'real' thing. So I decided to go to Targetnon the Thursday when the catalogue sales commenced. For some reason I didn't sleep very well and decided to check out my Kitchen machine in the Internet, it was everywhere, so I decided to recheck Target opening hours. Did you know they opened at 8am on a Thursday? So I was at the door at that time, with my son and mother, who also wanted one. One girl next to me struck up a converstation saying she planned on buying two of the Bellini machines, one for herself and one for her mother. I thought, Oh no, I am in for a race. Door opened and we all took off. Luckily my son was there, as he was ahead. I was walking as fast as I could walk, seeing a trolley next to me begin to pass. I thought of running, but that would start a big race in which I would lose. Final we reached the electrical section and found the machine against wall, only two in stock, up high. My son got them down and we each held one tightly and two more people came along, asking are there any more? As we walked out, we found two more around the corner, telling others there, where they were and all stock was snapped up within 30 seconds of the door opening. I have discovered that I love my a Berllini Intelli Kitchen Machine. I have made beautiful lemon and raspberry sorbet, lots of brown rice and steamed vegetables, chocolate cake, potato Rossi and a magnificent beet root salad with caramalised salted walnuts with raspberry balsamic Infusion. So I love this machine, it does all I have seen a Thermomix do thus far. I have had a Thermomix Demo and also a friend with one and enjoyed the soiils. This has a one year warranty, Target only. If I find it doesn't last, like a Thermomix does, I will keep saving and maybe buy a Thermomix, because I would not like to be without one again.
